Michelle Bachmann: "Don’t misunderstand. I am not here bashing people who are homosexuals, who are lesbians, who are bisexual, who are transgender. We need to have profound compassion for people who are dealing with the very real issue of sexual dysfunction in their life and sexual identity disorders.” (2004)
Ron Paul: "The rate of AIDS infection is on the increase again. From the gay point of view, the reasons seem quite sensible. First, these men don't really see a reason to live past their fifties. They are not married, they have no children, and their lives are centered on new sexual partners... because sex is the center of their lives, they want it to be as pleasurable as possible, which means unprotected sex. Third, they enjoy the attention & pity that comes with being sick." (1995 in a newsletter)
Rick Perry: "I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a Christian, but you don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school. " (2011 in a campaign ad)
Mitt Romney: "I should tell my story. I'm also unemployed." (2011 while speaking to unemployed people in Florida. Romney's net worth is over $200 million.)
Newt Gingrich: "She's not young enough or pretty enough to be the wife of the President. And besides, she has cancer." (1994, about his first wife)
Rick Santorum: "Is anyone saying same-sex couples can’t love each other? I love my children. I love my friends, my brother. Heck, I even love my mother-in-law. Should we call these relationships marriage, too?" (2008)
Michelle Bachmann: "Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn't even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas." (2009 during a debate)
Mitt Romney: "PETA is not happy that my dog likes fresh air." (2006, when questioned about driving 12 hours with his dog in a cage strapped to the top of his car)

I am leaving for Italy tomorrow (eek!). This means that I probably won’t be using this bog but instead I’ll be using my travel blog mostly. The other thing is that I’m not bringing a laptop but ONLY AN IPAD *cue jumping up and down and screaming like a little girl* and while ipads are awesome that means there won’t really be pictures until after the fact. If you can deal...

Post motown night quesadilla
was a big mistake. Bootcamp tomorrow might be rough. I don’t think “Wendy” (I put that in quotes because I’m only 50% positive that that’s her name) will be too pleased that I ate late at night. But whatever, my abs aren’t even sore right now, Wendy, so ha, take that! My legs are sore, though…

You had me at blork.
this isn't helpful
I just got an email from a professor saying they want me to change something on my paper that I handed in 3 weeks ago. The changes have to be in before grades are due and she only has sporadic internet use so emailing it might not work AND I’m out of town so I can’t turn in a hard copy.
What the heck?! I thought I was done with finals…
Kristen Wiig Retiring 'SNL' Characters 'Gilly'... →
In a recent article for Time by Joel Stein, “Saturday Night Live” staple Kristen Wiig revealed that she’s retiring two of her most-recurring characters: the precocious “Gilly” and the attention-seeking “Penelope.”
The article, titled “Kristen Wiig: The Anti-Comedian,” looks at Wiig’s late-blooming acting career and her rise to fame, including her upcoming feature film “Bridesmaids.”

If you haven’t been following the various stories relating to misogynistic frat boys and stuff this will catch you up. Yale has been dealing with, or not dealing with, some pretty icky things that, frankly, are rampant on most college campuses but not on the same scale or are certainly dealt with better.

An Education
Little kid Lisa had 3 examples of grown-up relationships in her everyday life:
1. The Sims
2. Musical Theater
3. Her parents and their friends
Each of these taught her different things, sometimes wonderful things, sometimes realistic things and sometimes confusing things. Let me explain:
The Sims
