A Quick Weekend Home
1. My mom got sick the first day I got here
2. My dog has Lyme disease and throws up multiple times a day from her meds - usually in my room
3. My brother brought me 2 Steelers shot glasses from Pittsburgh. My parents did not see the humor.
4. Since there is not gym here I’ve done the next best thing, i.e. baked a cake and 2 kinds of cookies

I was feeling very mediocre today so it was nice that I made another Etsy sale. I like little surprises like that.
My Body Hates Me
Yesterday was rough. Today, thus far, has been rough. This afternoon will be brutal. Despite the aches and pains there are some good parts about all of the exercise:
1. My muscles never have a chance to relax back to their normal state so it gives the illusion of rock-hard abs and thighs.
2. I can eat whatever I want because I get 5 hours of exercise a day

Dance: Day 2
So I was mistaken if I thought that I was sore this morning. Oh no, I wasn’t sore, that was an illusion. Now I’m sore. Like sitting-hurts-my-butt sore.
The first few hours of class were spent doing yoga and stretching. Forty-five minutes of downward dog and warrior poses meant forty-five minutes of Lisa shvitzing, kvetching and making angry badger faces. I don’t understand...

It has been under 6 hours since I finished my first day of the Broadway dance intensive. I am already sore and stiff. I have begun to walk like a tin man. My joints are creaky.
I took a bath. I am now in bed before 10:00pm for the second night in a row.
I think upon arriving in Oberlin I have aged 60 years.
