A Quick Weekend Home
1. My mom got sick the first day I got here 2. My dog has Lyme disease and throws up multiple times a day from her meds - usually in my room 3. My brother brought me 2 Steelers shot glasses from Pittsburgh. My parents did not see the humor. 4. Since there is not gym here I’ve done the next best thing, i.e. baked a cake and 2 kinds of cookies Oberlin, I’ll be back soon but for my...

I was feeling very mediocre today so it was nice that I made another Etsy sale. I like little surprises like that.

My Body Hates Me
Yesterday was rough. Today, thus far, has been rough. This afternoon will be brutal. Despite the aches and pains there are some good parts about all of the exercise: 1. walking like the tin man
It has been under 6 hours since I finished my first day of the Broadway dance intensive. I am already sore and stiff. I have begun to walk like a tin man. My joints are creaky. I took a bath. I am now in bed before 10:00pm for the second night in a row. I think upon arriving in Oberlin I have aged 60 years.

I’m loving this right now. Trust me, squashing these tiny, screaming, animated beans is delightful.

Requiem for Boots
You have served me well, boots. Upon purchasing you five years ago I like you very much but I could never have guessed that you would become a true friend. You have stood by me through snow in Boston, Ohio, Russia, Paris and Italy. You have tolerated many trips to the cobbler and you have looked great every step of the way. Your shapely heel, black suede body and slightly pointed toe will be...
